7th Grade Odyssey Stop Motion Animation

Students are working on a collaborative, cross-curricular animation project featuring the Odyssey epic. They are working during both Art and LASS periods.

Students use iPads(in copy stand mount) and the iStopmotion app to creation animated video clips. These will then be edited in iMovie on iPads or MacBook Pros.

6th Grade Paper Brain Models

As my school joins the maker and stem movement, more and more of collegial conversations focus on student projects as problem solving. The need for students to understand and to manipulate materials is imperative. One such project incorporates all of these ideas. It is the origami paper brain model by Martin Pyka.
